To safeguard the life and health of the citizens of Louisiana by assuring persons practicing as Registered Nurses and Advanced Practice Registered Nurses are competent and safe. This position performs diverse and specialized tasks in the maintenance of comprehensive human resources functions, which include but are not limited to: Recruitment, Screening & Orientation; Performance Appraisal; Benefits Coordination; Classification and Pay; Time and Attendance; and Personnel Records Management for the Louisiana State Board of Nursing (LSBN). The incumbent must meet a wide variety of regulatory and agency deadlines and remain abreast of changes in laws and regulations governing employment. The incumbent must exercise considerable independent judgment and maintain adherence to the principles of confidentiality.
