Serves as lead worker over assigned maintenance personnel; directs work assignments, coordinates workflow, and inspects completed work. Surveys maintenance jobs and ensures appropriate tools, materials, equipment, and resources are available. Provides guidance, training, and technical assistance to subordinate maintenance personnel. Performs advanced installation, replacement, modification, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Repairs and maintains pumps, compressors, motors, air handlers, cooling towers, controls, and related mechanical equipment. Performs advanced welding and metal fabrication, including specialized welding of aluminum, stainless steel, and other non-ferrous metals. Operates machining and fabrication equipment to manufacture or repair parts for maintenance and mechanical equipment.
