This is a senior-level position in the Field Operations Division. Field Operations assignment will operate heavy equipment, such as backhoes, front end loaders, etc. and will drive the trucks/vans which will transport crews and haul equipment to work sites. Employee will supervise the work crews at all sites and will be responsible for ensuring that heavy equipment is properly maintained and serviced. In this capacity, employee will assist the supervisor as required and will oversee the zone in the supervisor's absence. Employee will supervise and plan workloads for wash truck, dump truck and hydrant inspection personnel, flushing crews, provide training on proper maintenance and repair of sewer and water mains, hydrants, manholes, etc.; investigate system, problems and develop corrective actions; oversee the valving down and tapping of water and force mains in the zone; oversee the installation of valves, hydrants, air relief valves, fittings, and other appurtenances.
