DOTD is seeking an experienced Bridge and Structural Design Engineer to support transportation projects and programs through bridge and structural design, bridge preservation, load rating, plan development, and technical support for transportation infrastructure projects. This position supports the development, delivery, maintenance, or improvement of transportation infrastructure by applying engineering principles, conducting technical analysis, coordinating projects, and conducting compliance-related reviews. Depending on level and assignment, Engineer 3 – Engineer 5 may: Assists with bridge and structural design activities for transportation infrastructure projects. Reviews or prepares plans, calculations, specifications, estimates, and structural details. Performs or assists with bridge load ratings, structural evaluations, or bridge preservation activities. Provides technical support related to bridge rehabilitation, replacement, preservation, or new capacity projects. Coordinates with project managers, consultants, districts, construction staff, and other internal or external partners.
