DOTD is seeking an experienced engineer to serve as the Project Engineer expert while supervising lower-level Engineers or Engineering Technicians. This position supports transportation projects and programs through construction project delivery, field engineering, construction documentation, contractor coordination, and review of work performed in accordance with DOTD standards and specifications. This role plays a critical part in advancing DOTD’s mission by supporting the development, delivery, maintenance, or improvement of transportation infrastructure by applying engineering principles, conducting technical analysis, coordinating projects, and conducting compliance-related reviews. Professional license to practice engineering is required — training is provided with opportunities for career advancement. This position is in District 03, Unit 213 (Iberia Parish), and reports to the ADA of Construction.
