You will serve as an Education Technician within the Division of Interpretation at Cane River Creole National Historical Park. Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as permanent appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis. You will work for approximately 11 months, and you will be in a non-pay status from mid-August through mid-September for a total of 2 pay periods. Major duties include assisting with the development of curricula-based school programs relevant to park interpretive themes; evaluating curriculum-based materials; presenting curriculum-based education programs for pre-school through grade 12 using contemporary education methods including distance learning/video conference software; delivering engaging inquiry-based programs; and assisting in planning and presenting workshops for teachers and other educators. GS-6 with promotion potential to GS-7.
