Mission: The mission of the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners is to protect and improve the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Louisiana through licensing, regulation, research, and discipline of physicians and allied health professionals in a manner that protects the rights and privileges of the licensees. This Licensing Analyst 1/2/3 position is in our Licensure Division. The majority of duties and responsibilities involve processing licenses and renewals, which include reviewing, studying, and maintaining a working knowledge of Practice Acts, Rules and Regulations, and State Statutes that regulate the licensing of all medical and allied health practitioners under the jurisdiction of the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners. Learns and demonstrates proficiency in the licensure and renewal process for all practitioners regulated by the LSBME.
