Our mission of the Louisiana Veterans Homes is to serve the Veteran population of Louisiana through the provision of nursing assistant services in an atmosphere of respect and compassion. Join the State of Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Home, where you'll step into a role as a Nursing Assistant 2, that services excellence care for those who served and with genuine care to over 150 veterans. Nursing operations, includes care of one of four care units, ensuring coverage and high-quality resident care in a 156-bed long-term care facility. Nursing Aide, bathe/groom patients, distributes clean linen, washes, dries, fold and store patient clothing. Cleans equipment such as whirlpool tub and weight scale Quality Assurance, promoting continuous improvement in nursing assistant care, delivery and adherence to policy and procedure standards.
